I made this song at the beginning of quarantine, and the video is mostly filmed on old-school film cameras. The main camera was rented from the Logan Center for one of my classes. Missouri is an indie pop song about having a crush on someone and trying to get their attention, while thinking about all the fun things you two could do together, (like “drive to Missouri…”) etc. I hope you enjoy it! 🙂

Hannah Wilson-Black is a singer-songwriter and avid recycler from the Washington, D.C. area who devotes her spare and not-so-spare time to writing poetry, creative non-fiction, and fiction. Hannah also writes blog posts and interviews for UChicago’s Program on the Global Environment. She was lucky enough to attend a Beth Nielsen Chapman songwriting and performance workshop in Nashville in the summer of 2017, and as you can hear, she has been unable to get the country twang out of her voice ever since.
